Description
It takes guts and sheer determination to alter your life trajectory, especially when you're at the top of the game. But that's exactly what Rain did. In November of 2007, Rain left his longtime nest JYP Entertainment and started his own company, J. Tune Entertainment. And now, after establishing worldwide fame through his much publicized 2007 world tour and Hollywood exposure in films like Speed Racer and the upcoming action flick Ninja Assassin, the multi-entertainer returns to home base to release his long-awaited fifth album poignantly titled Rainism. By adding "-ism" to his name, the title promotes a new ideology and concept that capture the essence of who he is and what he represents.
Taking full control of the album's entire production, Rain reveals his true colors through his own composition and choice of lyrics, in particular Love Story and September 12th. Composed and arranged by Choi Hyung Joon of V.O.S, Love Story is a pop R&B number that talks about the ugly side of love, surprisingly coming from the singer's own experience. In the song's music video which features actress Ha Ji Won, Rain extends his talent net by orchestrating the full storyline. Moreover, the star upgrades his dance moves by collaborating with world-famous choreographer AJ who previously worked with stars like Usher and Justin Timberlake.

According to J.Tune Entertainment Rain will concentrate on only recording and producing his Asia Special Album when he returns home in July (in a studio in Gangnam, Seoul).
Rain said during the Japan fan meeting interview on 30 June 2008:
"I estimate around October ... perhaps even early September to promote the new album. I also plan on engaging in a month's activities in South Korea, Japan and China. Please look forward to it!"
Rain said during the Korea fan meeting interview on 27 July 2008:
"I will be releasing an Asia Special Album for Asia fans in the beginning of October."

A staff from Rain's representative company expressed, "The lyrics from the lead song in this new album was personally written by Rain, he certainly also participated in the composing of the dance music." "He has been personally responsible for the dance choreography; making all preparations for this lead song."
There are around 12 songs in this special edition, including songs that have lyrics personally written by Rain. It is estimated that there are more than 3 songs composed by Rain himself which will be turned into hit records.
Rain's 5th and special edition album will certainly be on sale in Hong Kong as well as other English speaking Asian countries as well, and the lead song will also be sung in the languages of those respective countries.
